Misconceptions about infrasound – and why our Triometik makes the difference

Infrasound – low-frequency pressure waves inaudible to humans – is a physically proven principle for burglary early detection. Every levering or break-in attempt at windows and doors measurably changes the pressure in the building. Whoever evaluates these signatures correctly detects the attempt before the offender is inside.

Why infrasound has a mixed reputation

The problem isn't the physics – it's the cheap implementation. In recent years numerous providers have superficially copied the infrasound principle: simple pressure sensors, coarse thresholds, hardly any signal evaluation. The result is well known:

false alarms from slamming doors, wind, traffic or thunderstorms,
missed alarms because the threshold was set too insensitive to avoid the false alarms,
and a loss of trust in an actually excellent technology.

Anyone who has experienced a poorly made infrasound system understandably considers the principle immature. In fact, only the implementation was cheap.

Our way: the patented Triometik sensor technology

We didn't copy the principle, we developed it from scratch – and had the result patented: our Triometik sensor technology. Instead of a single, coarsely evaluated pressure signal, Triometik evaluates several measured variables simultaneously and compares them with the characteristic patterns of genuine break-in attempts.

This makes the decisive difference:

Pattern recognition instead of a simple threshold: Triometik reliably distinguishes the physical pattern of a levering attempt from everyday events such as slamming doors, wind or thunderstorms.
High sensitivity without a flood of false alarms: the system stays sensitive enough to trigger early – without constantly raising the alarm for no reason.
The whole building as a sensor: one panel monitors all access points at once, instead of needing a separate detector on every window.
