WE Elektronik GmbH
Landstraße 7, 26506 Norden, Germany
Represented by the Managing Director Heinz Peter Weiland
Phone: +49 4938 915 99 30
E-mail: info@we-elektronik.de
2. General information and legal bases
We generally process our users' personal data only to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and our content and services. Processing is always carried out in accordance with the GDPR and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).
The legal bases for processing are in particular:
- your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR),
- the initiation or performance of a contract (Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR),
- compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6 (1)(c) GDPR), and
- the safeguarding of our legitimate interests (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR).
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is operated by an external service provider (host). When our website is accessed, the hosting provider automatically collects information transmitted by your browser in so-called server log files. These are in particular:
- the IP address of the accessing device,
- date and time of access,
- the page or file requested,
- browser type and version (user agent),
- the previously visited page (referrer).
This data serves to ensure trouble-free operation and security, and to improve and secure our offering. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the technically error-free and secure provision of the website (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR). This data is not merged with other data sources.
Our website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. The server log files are processed on Hetzner servers located in Germany. We have concluded a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR with Hetzner, ensuring the data-protection-compliant processing of the data collected via our website.
4. Contact form and contact by e-mail / phone
If you send us an enquiry via the contact form, we process the data you provide (name, e-mail address, possibly phone number, the selected topic and the content of your message) exclusively to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions. Submission requires your consent to this processing (confirmation of the privacy policy).
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR) and – where your enquiry is aimed at concluding or performing a contract – Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR. To protect against automated spam messages we use a technical check field (honeypot); no additional personal data is collected in the process. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose and no statutory retention obligations apply. You can withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future.
5. Security check and on-site consultation
The interactive security check on this website is evaluated entirely locally in your browser. The answers you give and the calculated result are not transmitted to or stored on our servers.
If, at the end of the security check, you choose to request a free on-site security check, you transmit to us via the lead form the contact details you provide (name, phone number, town, optionally e-mail address) together with the result of the security check (risk score, risk level and risk profile). We process this data solely to arrange an appointment and prepare the consultation. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR) and the initiation of a contract (Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR). You can withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future.
6. Newsletter
When you sign up for the newsletter, we process your e-mail address for the purpose of sending it. Signing up mandatorily requires explicit consent by ticking the relevant checkbox; the legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR. For dispatch, your e-mail address and your IP address are transmitted to our own system at api.we-elektronik.de; the IP address serves as proof of the sign-up.
You can unsubscribe at any time and withdraw your consent with effect for the future – via the unsubscribe link in the newsletter or informally by e-mail to info@we-elektronik.de. The lawfulness of the processing carried out until withdrawal remains unaffected.
Sign-up uses a single opt-in procedure: your e-mail address is stored upon sign-up and used for dispatch. A separate double opt-in confirmation procedure by e-mail does not take place. You can unsubscribe at any time – as described above – via the unsubscribe link or by withdrawing your consent.
7. Cookies
This website does not use tracking or marketing cookies. No analytics or reach-measurement tools (e.g. Google Analytics) are used, and no profiling takes place.
8. Self-hosted fonts
For a consistent presentation we use fonts that we provide locally on our own server (self-hosted web fonts). When the fonts are loaded – unlike an embed via the Google Fonts CDN – no requests are made to Google servers and no data is transmitted to Google. Your IP address is not passed on to third parties in this process.
9. OpenStreetMap
On our contact page we embed map material from OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John's Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom). When the map loads, your IP address is transmitted to OpenStreetMap; without this transmission the map could not be displayed. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in an easily findable route description (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR). Further information: OSMF Privacy Policy.
10. Your rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Right to withdraw consent given (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)
To exercise your rights, an informal message to the contact details stated above is sufficient.
11. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority regarding our processing of your personal data. The authority competent for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony (LfD Niedersachsen).
12. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by "https://" and the lock symbol in your browser bar.
13. Currency of this privacy policy
This privacy policy is dated July 2026. As our website develops, or due to changed statutory or regulatory requirements, it may become necessary to amend this privacy policy. The current version available on this page applies in each case.
